May 2026: Endale Begosew

May’s Operator of the Month is Endale Begosew from Boulder Division! Begosew was chosen for his quick action to prevent a tense situation between customers from escalating further and ensuring everyone on board remained safe. An argument between two customers escalated when Begosew safely stopped the bus and asked the two to get off. Thanks to his actions, all customers onboard were kept safe from any potential harm.

How long have you driven for RTD, and have you always been a bus driver?

8 years and drove the bus the entire time.

What were you in a previous life?

I worked at DIA assisting customers with mobility devices.

What do you like best about your job?

I love driving big vehicles with the customers.

If you could listen to music while working, what type?

I'm not a music fan.

If you could deck out your bus, what style?

I would have poems all over the bus with paintings.

If you could change your uniform color, what color?

I love blue and black contrast.

What type of service would you drive if given the choice and/or favorite service to drive or operate?

I love to drive the 153 that spans Peoria Station to Arapahoe Station.
