
Culture and cranes: Celebrate BRT progress with arch lift viewing party on Quebec Street
Join the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit team, The Fax Partnership and the East Colfax Cultural District for an evening of literature, arts, culture and cranes on East Colfax! The Quebec Street Arch Lift Viewing Party is at Fiction Beer Company on Monday, April 27, 6 to 9 p.m. This event is also an opportunity to get a Fax Pass or redeem a prize.

The Festivities
- 6 p.m. – Fiction Beer Company’s Book Swap: Bring your loved reads for a cozy community book swap! It’s the perfect way to refresh your TBR pile, trade in a couple of books and head home with new favorites.
- 7 p.m. – Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony: Experience a traditional coffee ritual celebrating community, hospitality and Ethiopian culture.
- 7:30 p.m. – Destination Colfax: Documentary Trailer: Next month, a documentary showcasing the storied history and evolution of Colfax Avenue will be released by The City and County of Denver and partners: “Destination Colfax”. Catch the trailer at this party and save the date for its premiere at The Aurora Fox Arts Center at 6 p.m. on May 1!
- 8 p.m. – Arch Lift: Watch the arch rise, another milestone for the East Colfax BRT Project!
- 6–9 p.m. – Food, Fax Pass and Prizes: Enjoy bites from Ali Baba Mediterranean Cuisine food truck (while supplies last), plus Fax Passes and prizes throughout the evening.
BRT Project Information
Construction on the East Colfax BRT project began in 2024 after more than a decade of community planning and input. The center-running BRT system will include new stations, improved pedestrian and bike connections, and more frequent service along the corridor. Full BRT service is expected to begin in 2028.
