Eric Worthington - July 2026 Operator of the Month

July's Operator of the Month is Eric Worthington, a paratransit operator from MTM Transit. Worthington was chosen for his selfless actions and quick response to a situation he encountered while on duty. He noticed a fire on the roadside, immediately pulled his bus out of the way of traffic, and ran towards the fire to help out a man and his daughter who were trapped in it. Thanks to his incredibly selfless act of heroism, he saved the lives of two people.

Q&A with Eric

How long have you work with Paratransit, and have you always been a bus driver?

Six months, I have been driving professionally for over 10 years.

What were you in a previous life?

I can't speak about a previous life. If I were to guess, probably a light housekeeper, honestly. I have a calm and welcoming demeanor. I'm nosy and would have made sure everyone had a safe passage, or in my jobs case, transport.

If you could listen to music while working, what type?

Beach vibes. Any kind of reggae rock

If you could deck out your vehicle, what style?

A safe vehicle is fine, but if I really wanted to splurge, something camping friendly.
