Virtual public meetings available Oct. 27 and Oct. 28; online survey dashboard available through Oct. 29
DENVER (Oct. 5, 2026) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD)is inviting customers and community stakeholders to share feedback on proposed January 2027 service changes. To provide opportunities for input, RTD will host two virtual meetings on Tuesday, Oct. 27. The first meeting, beginning at noon, is an “Ask a Service Planner” session that will give participants the chance to ask individual questions and speak directly with an RTD service planner. Later that day at 5:30 p.m., RTD will focus on reviewing the proposed changes. Another virtual Ask a Planner session will be conducted Wednesday, Oct. 28 at noon. A final meeting to review the proposed service changes will be held Wednesday, Oct 28 at 5:30 p.m.
An online dashboard is available for customers to review all the proposed changes to provide feedback. Customers may alternatively submit feedback through the Online Service Planning and Development form. RTD is accepting community feedback through Thursday, Oct. 29.
Customer and stakeholder feedback is important to ensure RTD provides an efficient and responsive system that serves community needs. If approved by the RTD Board of Directors, the proposed changes will take effect on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2027.
The January 2027 service change recommendations represent a mix of service enhancements, service restorations, and service optimizations designed to respond to customer and internal feedback, improve service performance, and support the continued maintenance and growth of the transit network.
Addressing the agency’s financial and ridership growth goals, many of the proposed service enhancements will be supported by funding through the Clean Transit Enterprise (CTE) 2027 grant. Other recommendations are designed to be cost neutral through the optimization and reallocation of existing service resources. Overall, the estimated financial impact of the proposed service changes is designed to be cost neutral.
