Latest East Colfax BRT arch lift viewing party coming to Krameria Street
The latest portion of the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project will take shape Monday night on Krameria Street, and the community is invited to see construction up close.
A viewing party is scheduled for March 30, from 7 to 9 p.m., with the arch expected around 8 p.m. The event, held in collaboration with the Colfax Mayfair Business Improvement District, supports small businesses and keeps the corridor active during construction. Click here to RSVP.
Attendees can stop by Ed Moore Florist, The Local General, and Park Hill Treasures for food, drinks, and treats while supplies last. Visitors are encouraged to explore the neighborhood, connect with local businesses, and pick up a Fax Pass or redeem prizes.

The event builds recent community engagement along East Colfax. On March 25, Champagne Tiger hosted a Meet the Artist event featuring Lui Ferreyra, who was selected to design artwork for the Pennsylvania, Hudson, and Unita BRT stations. Meanwhile, two February RTD videos also captured the Hudson Street and Cherry Street arch installations and the community celebrations that accompanied them.
BRT operational testing
RTD continues preparing for future BRT service. In recent weeks, RTD's Safety and Environmental Compliance team tested bus operations along East Colfax with project partners, evaluating how platform alignment and bus movement through the corridor. This testing confirms that infrastructure, vehicles, and operations work safely together before service begins.
Once complete, the East Colfax BRT project will provide enhanced, reliable, transit service between Broadway in Denver and I-225 in Aurora. Construction is underway in multiple segments and is expected to finish in late 2027.
