Latest steel arch installation highlights progress on East Colfax BRT

Lucas Bosley

RTD, the City and County of Denver, and project partners continue to advance the East Colfax Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project, with active construction now underway between Broadway and Fairfax Street (Segments 1–3). A key milestone will be reached in July, as crews shift operations to the north side of Colfax, marking the start of Phase 2 for Segment 1 (Broadway to Williams Street).

Visit the new Project Dashboard for more information and to follow progress.

RTD’s Route 15/15L service will remain in operation, with temporary stops as needed. Customers can sign up for real-time Service Alerts at  rtd-denver.com/alerts

The York Station arch, now the fourth installed across the corridor, continues to signal visible progress. The 21-foot-tall, 87-foot-long steel arches will serve as striking visual landmarks and shaded canopies at BRT stations. The first arch was installed in May at Colfax and Franklin Street. This installation demonstrates continued momentum toward the 2027 debut of center-running, high-frequency BRT service along one of Denver’s busiest corridors.
