Sports

It may be cold outside, but Denver’s professional sports teams are heating up going into the final month of 2025. As of this writing, the Denver Broncos are 10-2 after just scraping by a 3-8 Washington Commanders team, sitting firmly on top of the AFC and in a dogfight with the New England Patriots for sole control of the entire NFL as the season winds down. At Ball Arena, the Colorado Avalanche are, once again, in a brawl with the Dallas Stars for control over the NHL’s Western Conference, which is a yearly tradition at this point. On the other side of the locker room, the Denver Nuggets were eliminated from the Mickey Mouse NBA Cup and can now focus on the regular season. They are going to need that focus, as the team is about to face a gauntlet of the league’s top teams on home court the second half of December. Additionally, the Colorado Mammoth take to the turf inside Ball Arena for their National Lacrosse League home opener against the Georgia Swarm on Dec. 27.

Illenium - "Nightlight"

Not only is Illenium one of the hottest names in EDM today, but he is a native Denverite through and through. It is only fitting that he headlines an absolutely loaded night of dance at this year's Decadence!

Zedd feat. Foxes - "Clarity"

Zedd steamrolled his way into the EDM scene in the early-2010s. His hit single, "Clarity," took over the charts, radiowaves and nightclubs across the world, and has since garnered hundreds of millions of streams, headlined the biggest EDM festivals in the world, and even had his music featured as the theme for the League of Legends World Championships, the biggest e-sports event on the planet. He joins Illenium at this year's Decadence Dec. 30-31!

Magdalena Bay - "Killshot"

Electro-pop outfit Magdalena Bay brings their 80s-inspired blend of synth pop to the Mission Ballroom to close out 2025 on Dec. 31!

Dying Wish - "Flesh Stays Together Tour"

Fresh off the release of their latest album, "Flesh Stays Together," metalcore stalwarts Dying Wish look to turn Summit Music Hall into a warzone when they perform at Summit tonight! Don't let this song fool you, this is their softest song.

Senses Fail - "Calling All Cars"

Everyone between the ages of 27-40 will recognize Senses Fail. One of the biggest names in emo and post-hardcore, Senses Fail has been at it for nearly 30 years. Now, they team up with fellow emo/post-hardcore heavyweights Story Of The Year and Armor For Sleep for two nights of heavy hits and heavy tears Dec. 5-6 at Summit Music Hall.

Greyhaven - "Burn A Miracle"

If you look up "criminally underrated" in the dictionary and you'd see a picture of Greyhaven. Delivering chaotic riffs and catchy choruses for over a decade, Greyhaven has been flying under the radar for too long. Now, supporting their latest album "Keep It Quiet," they take the stage at Marquis Dec. 5.
