RTD highlights efforts to support digital inclusion

In recognition of Digital Inclusion Week (Oct. 6-10), RTD is reaffirming its commitment to helping all community members participate fully in today’s digital world through equitable access to technology, connectivity and digital literacy resources.

RTD’s Transit Equity Office is a member of the Denver Digital Equity Coalition, which developed the Free and Low-Cost Tech Resources in Denver guide to connect residents with affordable internet, device programs and training opportunities. The agency also provides language assistance services at no cost, including phone interpretation at 303-299-6000 (press 2 for Spanish or 8 for other languages), and trip-planning tools on the RTD website and Next Ride available in 10 languages. These services help customers plan trips in the language they prefer.

RTD remains committed to providing accessible communications for individuals with disabilities through auxiliary aids and services such as sign language interpreters, Braille materials, large-print formats and accessible online documents. To request a disability-related accommodation, customers may contact RTD’s ADA Manager, Gabe Christie, at [email protected].

Customers can also find more information about RTD’s equity and accessibility efforts in an online performance dashboard, as well as its technology accessibility statement. Requests for modifications and feedback are welcome.
