RTD presents redesigned online newsroom to improve access to agency updates and information
Updated 'News Stop' website features agency updates, customer stories, and video content
DENVER (March 16, 2026) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD) has launched a redesigned News Stop, an online newsroom that makes it easier for customers, media, and stakeholders to stay informed about transit services, community projects, and partnerships across the region. The updated site serves as a central hub for official RTD announcements; housing feature stories, original videos, and social media updates in one place. Instead of searching across multiple webpages, visitors can now find the latest agency updates in a single, convenient online newsroom.
"We're focused on improving access to must-know, should-know, and nice-to-know information,” said RTD Chief Communications and Engagement Officer Stuart Summers. “As the mobility needs of the Denver metro area continually evolve and change, RTD wants to make it even easier to find information about our services, receive project-related updates, and learn about new initiatives. Today’s redesigned and relaunched News Stop website ensures the communities we serve are even better connected to the agency.”
News Stop is mobile-friendly and designed to help customers stay informed about transportation improvements, policy updates, and agency initiatives that affect communities across RTD’s service area. It supports the comprehensive Customer Experience and Transit Utilization Action Plan announced in November 2025, and aligns with the agency’s Strategic Plan and Annual Scorecard by strengthening how RTD communicates with customers throughout their transit journey.
The redesigned website features a simplified layout and clearer navigation that allows visitors to quickly browse, search, and share RTD news and resources.
Key features include:
- A searchable archive of RTD news releases and announcements
- Stories and videos that highlight major projects and safety efforts across the district
- Links to the latest agency updates, including RTD social media channels
- Photos and other resources available for media outlets and community partners to download
- Contact information for media relations for interview requests and questions
Consistent with Language Access Services across all of RTD’s website, News Stop can be translated in 10 languages: English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, Vietnamese, Russian, Korean, Amharic, Somali, Nepali, and French. These options are available via a drop-down menu at the top of the webpage.
Media outlets, stakeholders, and customers are also encouraged to explore News Stop and subscribe to RTD's newsletters, including the monthly Read-n-Ride and the quarterly Community Connections, for regular updates about agency projects and developments.
