RTD provides service and connections to Sunday’s Broncos vs. Patriots game

DENVER (Jan. 22, 2026) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is expecting a surge in ridership on buses and trains as the Denver Broncos host the New England Patriots in the AFC conference championship at 1 p.m., Sunday, Jan.25, at Empower Field at Mile High stadium.

The close proximity of the sports venue to several bus stops and rail stations makes public transit a safe and convenient way for fans to attend the game. In anticipation of large crowds downtown, additional Transit Police and security personnel will be deployed across the system, with an increased presence at bus stops and rail stations near Empower Field at Mile High.

Broncos fans are encouraged to use the agency’s Next Ride trip planning tool and simply type “Broncos” in the destination field. RTD’s trip planner will show all transit options from a customer’s current location to Empower Field. The navigation feature will list all train lines and bus routes, along with departure times, from the user’s current location.

Rail Service
RTD offers service on the E and W lines, which serve Empower Field at Mile High station, as well as A, B, G, and N lines, which provide service to Denver Union Station. The agency plans to add rail cars to the E, W, and N lines to accommodate expected higher volumes of fans attending Sunday’s game.

Check the RTD website or Next Rideapp for service times. Customers are encouraged to be patient and prepare for large crowds, especially following the event.

Bus Service
Several local bus routes are available to accommodate customers attending the Broncos game. Bus routes operating in the vicinity of Empower Field at Mile High include Route 30 (South Federal Boulevard) and Route 31 (North Federal Boulevard), as well as Routes 1, 15L, and 16.

Customers looking for an easy transfer to the E or W lines at Denver Union Station can use the Flatiron Flyer and local Routes 0, 9, 10, 15, 20, and 32.
