
RTD to offer bus shuttle service July 15-17 between Southmoor and Florida stations during overhead wire repairs
DENVER (July 8, 2025) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD)’s planned overhead wire maintenance work will impact H and R line service Tuesday, July 15, through Thursday, July 17. Bus shuttles will provide connections for customers along the I-225 corridor between Florida and Southmoor stations.
During the three-day period, maintenance crews will replace sections of overhead wire at Nine Mile Station. Regular light rail service on the H and R lines will resume Friday, July 18.
- R Line customers can connect to the E Line for travel between Southmoor and Lincoln stations
- Bus shuttle service will be offered between Florida and Southmoor stations
- H Line service will operate as normal north of Southmoor Station
- R Line service will operate as normal between Peoria and Florida stations
Boarding for bus shuttles will take place at the following gates:
- Southmoor Station – Gate A
- Dayton Station – Bus bridge sign within the bus loop
- Nine Mile Station – Gate E
- Iliff Station – Gate A
- Florida Station – Bus bridge sign next to the station
Customers whose trips are impacted by the temporary rail disruption are encouraged to use RTD’s Next Ride app to view adapted train schedules or plan a trip using alternate bus routes. Customers are also encouraged to sign up for Service Alerts.
