Proposed June 2026 Service Changes
RTD’s Proposed June 2026 Service Changes aim to improve the customer experience, advance the System Optimization Plan, and support the final phases of the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project. The updates focus on boosting bus and rail reliability and on-time performance based on community feedback, travel patterns, ridership trends, seasonal demand, economic factors, and available resources.

Customer feedback on the Proposed June Service Changes will be collected through March 4. We invite you to virtually attend our public meetings and Ask a Service Planner session, or share your feedback through the online survey. Customer feedback is important to RTD, and we thank you for participating however you can!
Proposed June 2026 Service Changes
In addition to the routes listed in the below cards, there are also proposed changes to the following services:
C - Littleton•Mineral – Union Station - Service Increase - Survey
Proposed Changes: It is proposed to temporarily reinstate the C Line to provide rail service between Littleton•Mineral and Union Station.
Reason: The proposed change would restore the direct Littleton•Mineral to Union Station connection, while accounting for the suspension of the D Line.
T - Lincoln Station – I-25•Broadway Station - Service Increase - Survey
Proposed Changes: It is proposed to operate T Line (Temporary Line) rail service between Lincoln and I-25•Broadway.
Trains would run every 15 minutes on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., then every 30 minutes until midnight (2:00 a.m. on Fridays).
On weekends, trains would run every 30 minutes until 9:00 a.m., every 15 minutes from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., then every 30 minutes until 2:00 a.m. on Saturday and midnight on Sunday.
Reason: This new, temporary rail service would replace capacity between I-25•Broadway and Southmoor stations during the H Line suspension for the final phases of the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project.
22 - West Evans Avenue - Route Adjustment, Service Increase, Schedule Timing - Survey
Proposed Changes: It is proposed to create a new Route 22 to serve the western segment of the former Route 21 west of Evans Station.
Reason: Provide a clear, separate route for the western segment as part of RTD's System Optimization Plan.
53 - North Sheridan Blvd/Broomfield - Service Increase - Survey
Proposed Changes: Reinstate Route 53 to operate seven days a week between US36 & Sheridan Station and Broomfield Municipal Center, with hourly service weekdays, Saturdays, and Sundays/Holidays from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Service would begin on a temporary detour due to construction.
Reason: Restore service per RTD's System Optimization Plan while maintaining connections along the route during construction.
80 - 80th Avenue Crosstown - Service Increase - Survey
Proposed Changes: It is proposed to reinstate Route 80 service, which would operate weekdays only between 6:00 a. m–7:00 p.m.
Reason: Restore service per RTD's System Optimization Plan.
Denver Tech Center FlexRide - Schedule Timing - Survey
Proposed Changes: Expand weekday service hours to 7:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m. and add Saturday service from 7:00 a.m.–10:00 p.m.
Reason: Increase availability and service coverage.
Platte Valley FlexRide - Service Reduction - Survey
Proposed Changes: It is proposed to discontinue operations of the Platte Valley FlexRide service.
Reason: Due to continued low customer utilization (averaging fewer than 0.6 customers per hour or 8 customers per day) the Platte Valley FlexRide is recommended for discontinuation. The service, introduced in August 2019 to replace the underperforming Route 33 (Platte Valley), has not achieved sufficient ridership. Alternative service is available through the Denver Connector West, which overlaps much of the FlexRide service area.

Reason
Final phases of the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project will not allow for RTD to operate trains at Colfax at Auraria through the Downtown Loop. With the proposed reinstatement of the C Line, D Line customers will have rail service to Union Station.

Union Station – RidgeGate Parkway Station

It is proposed to suspend service on the H Line.
Reason
Final phases of the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project will not allow for RTD to operate trains at Colfax at Auraria through the Downtown Loop. With the D Line rerouting to serve Union Station, there is not enough track capacity to reroute the H Line to Union Station. If approved, customers would transfer to/from E Line or T Line at Belleview Station for northbound service.

30th•Downing – 16th•Stout

Reason
Final phases of the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project will not allow for RTD to operate trains at Colfax at Auraria through the Downtown Loop. If approved, service on Bus Route 43 would be increased to support L Line customers.

Changes would allow for an additional 11 new trips on Route 10 in support of the service expansion.

Reason
Improve improve on-time performance, service reliability, and transfers with Route 16 by strengthening connections at Oak Station, creating a more efficient and consistent route alignment.
