January 2026: Wednesday Fair

January's Operator of the Month is operator Wednesday Fair from Transdev! Fair was selected for her quick thinking and diligence to help two children who were left unattended at the busy intersection of Alameda Avenue and Federal Boulevard. She picked them up and kept them safe on her bus until law enforcement and social services arrived to help reunite the children with their family.

How long have you driven for RTD, and have you always been a bus driver?

I have been here for almost two months and started as an operator. 

What were you in a previous life?

I was an over the road truck driver. 

What do you like best about your job?

Being able to help people and provide a safe service. 

If you could listen to music while working, what type?

Soft music, like jazz.

If you could deck out your bus, what style?

Something inspirational. 

If you could change your uniform color, what color?

I would do pink.

What type of service would you drive if given the choice, and/or your favorite service to drive or operate?

I would do any service.
