Service Disruption

16th Street FreeRide service detours during monthly Hangin’ N Slangin’ market events

Street closures between Curtis and Welton streets to impact downtown service one Saturday each month through December

RTD customers traveling through downtown Denver should plan for temporary impacts to FreeRide service during the monthly Hangin’ N Slangin’ vendor market events on 16th Street.

Beginning Saturday, May 9, and continuing every second Saturday through Dec. 12, 16th Street between Curtis and Welton streets will close from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. to accommodate the event. To support the market, the FreeRide will detour to 15th and 17th streets between Welton and Curtis. Service Alerts will be posted online and at affected stops.

Hangin’ N Slangin’ is a recurring pop-up market featuring vintage clothing, handmade jewelry, local artwork, and other goods from Denver-area vendors. Customers are encouraged to allow extra travel time and check Service Alerts before traveling through the area on event days.
