RTD will add train cars to regularly scheduled service on C, E, W, and N lines serving stations in downtown Denver

DENVER (July 25, 2026) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD)is preparing for a packed evening of events as fans head downtown Tuesday night to attend major concerts and events, including AC/DC at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium, and Megan Moroney at Ball Arena.

The locations of the venues, relative to several bus stops and rail stations, make public transit a safe and convenient way to attend the events. In anticipation of large crowds downtown, additional Transit Police and security personnel will be deployed for an increased presence at rail stations and across the system.

RTD encourages customers to use the agency’s NextRidetrip planning tool and type their event location into the destination field. RTD’s trip planner will show all transit options from a customer’s current location to the event. The navigation feature will list all train lines and bus routes, along with departure times, from the user’s location.

Rail Service
RTD provides service on the C, E and W lines, which connect to Auraria West, Empower Field at Mile High, Ball Arena, and Union stations, as well as on the A, B, G, and N lines, which also serve Union Station. The agency plans to add rail cars to the C, E, W, and N lines to accommodate expected increased ridership during downtown events on Tuesday evening including the AC/DC concert at Empower Field at Mile High Stadium, and Megan Moroney at Ball Arena.
