Rad Things (to) Do - November 2026
There’s a lot to be thankful for when living in Denver, such as the beautiful Rocky Mountains, the outdoors, Red Rocks, the Denver Broncos’ defensive line, Alan Roach’s beautiful voice, and Casa Bonita. And in typical November fashion, Denver knows how to welcome the holiday season with a turducken-style mashup of incredible concerts, sports, theater, and other amazing events that’ll make everyone thankful they live in the Mile High City. Check out what’s happening around the metro this month in this month’s Rad Things (to) Do. Let’s get into it.
NOTE: Due to ongoing impacts from the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project, all D, H, and L lines have been suspended into the first quarter of 2027. To alleviate disruptions caused by the project, the C Line has been temporarily reinstated between Littleton•Mineral and Union stations. Additionally, a new Temporary Line (T Line) has been added between Alameda and Lincoln stations.
The no-cost 16th Street FreeRide (FREE) offers connections to venues in and around the Central Business District between Union and Wade Blank Civic Center stations, including the Colorado Convention Center, Denver Performing Arts Complex, and the Paramount Theatre. All transit options listed below have been updated to include the most relevant transit information. Please plan ahead and allow extra travel time when using RTD services. Visit https://www.rtd-denver.com/railproject for more information.
THE PRIMER
Breaking down this month’s biggest concerts and events in a format that would make a Ph.D. candidate jealous
Headliners
This month kicks off with Denver Arts Week, which is the metro area’s biggest celebration of the arts and culture. Hundreds of events will take place across the metro area, including free nights at museums and First Friday Art Walks. At Ball Arena, Disney On Ice returns for three nights of Disney magic as some of the most famous Disney characters take to the ice and wow kids and kids-at-heart alike. Last but not least, it's time to get those sticks waxed, the Gore-Tex out of the closet, and fire up the leg muscles, because RTD's good friends at Eldora Mountain Resort will start spinning the lifts for the 2026-2027 winter season Nov. 13!
Sports
Denver sports fans are in for an absolute Thanksgiving buffet of sports to enjoy this month. Hot off a nail-biting goal-line final stand against the Kansas City Chiefs Sunday afternoon, the Broncos now hold the top spot in the AFC West as the NFL season reaches its midway point. While there’s only one game this month on home turf, it’s against division rival the Las Vegas Raiders on Nov. 22.
In Boulder, Coach Prime and the Colorado Buffaloes have found their stride, upsetting Kansas State University at home on Saturday and nearly upsetting Oklahoma State University and the University of Utah in back-to-back games. The Buffs have two pivotal home games coming up against the University of Houston and the University of Central Florida; both are must-win games if the Buffs hope to punch a ticket to a bowl game later this year.
Speaking of college sports, the Buffs and the University of Denver Pioneers men’s and women’s basketball teams take to their respective courts to begin their seasons, and the Pioneers men’s hockey team looks to continue their journey toreturn to the Frozen Four with four home games this month.
At Ball Arena, the Nuggets and Avalanche continue their seasons as both teams are finally finding their stride with plenty of home games to enjoy this month.
In other sports, All Elite Wrestling returns to the Mission Ballroom for a live nationwide broadcast showing of “Dynamite,” while those looking to make room for a Thanksgiving feast will take to Washington Park for the annual Mile High United Way Turkey Trot.
Musicals, orchestras, standup, and plays
Nothing welcomes the holiday season quite like nights at the Denver Center for the Performing Arts, and there are plenty of world-class productions throughout the month. The Buell Theatre is the place to be as “Disney’s Beauty and the Beast,” “Bluey’s Big Play,” and “Waitress” wow audiences this month.
The Colorado Symphony has a big November in store. In addition to being joined by Peter Oundjian and Gemma New and performing the soundtrack of Home Alone live, they will be teaming up with acclaimed singer-songwriter Andrew McMahon for an unforgettable concert Nov. 13-14.
The Colorado Symphony isn’t the only orchestra getting in on the holiday festivities. Gamers will be able to enjoy a live orchestral rendition of the soundtrack to the legendary role-playing game franchise, NieR, at the Bellco Theatre Nov. 14. Speaking of the holidays, there’s no orchestra that knows how to kick the season off quite like the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, which will be performing their “The Ghosts of Christmas Eve” show at Ball Arena Nov. 14.
Concerts
Thanksgiving dinner isn’t the only thing that’s going to make things heavy around the metro, as November becomes Metalvember. Some of the biggest hard rock and metal bands and artists crank it to 11 this month. Notable acts include Three Days Grace, Alter Bridge, Knocked Loose, Underoath, Gwar, Saosin, Senses Fail, Comeback Kid, and Boston Manor, all headlined by legendary rock band Journey at Ball Arena Nov. 22.
For those who prefer their concerts without a side of “mosh potatoes,” there are plenty of other artists and bands to enjoy. Other notable acts include Stacey Abrams, Postmodern Jukebox, Eric Prydz, Vince Staples, Yung Gravy, Key Glock, and Audien.
That’s enough yapping, so tuck the napkin in, break out the carving knife, and dig into this Hogwarts-sized Thanksgiving feast of Rad Things (to) Do below.
