Service Delivery

RTD provides service and connections to major events May 28-31

DENVER (May 27, 2026) –– The Regional Transportation District (RTD) is preparing for a surge in ridership on buses and trains May 28-31 as fans head downtown to attend a variety of major events at the Colorado Convention Center, Auraria Campus, Coors Field, and Empower Field at Mile High Stadium.

The close proximity of the venues to several bus stops and rail stations makes public transit a safe and convenient way to attend the events. In anticipation of large crowds downtown, additional Transit Police and security personnel will be deployed across the system, with an increased presence at bus stops and rail stations.

RTD encourages customers to use the agency’s Next Ride trip planning tool and simply type their event in the destination field. RTD’s trip planner will show all transit options from a customer’s current location to the Colorado Convention Center, Auraria Campus, Coors Field, Ball Arena, or Empower Field. The navigation feature will list all train lines and bus routes, along with departure times, from the user’s current location.

Rail Service
RTD provides service on the D and H lines, offering connections to Colfax at Auraria, Theatre District-Convention Center, and Downtown Loop stations. Service is also available on the E and W lines, which connect to Auraria West, Empower Field at Mile High, and Union stations, as well as on the A, B, G, and N lines, all of which serve Union Station. RTD plans to add rail cars to the D, E, H, N, and W lines to accommodate increased ridership and support higher weekend event attendance.

Check the RTD website or Next Ride app for service times. Customers are encouraged to be patient and prepare for large crowds, especially following the events.

Bus Service
Several local bus routes are available to accommodate customers attending the Morgan Wallen concerts Friday and Saturday at Empower Field at Mile High stadium. Bus routes operating in the vicinity of Empower Field at Mile High include Route 30 (South Federal Boulevard) and Route 31 (North Federal Boulevard), as well as Routes 1, 15L, and 16. Bus service for attendees of Fan Expo and events at the Performing Arts Complex includes the ART Route and 16th Street FreeRide.

Customers looking for an easy transfer to the E or W lines at Denver Union Station can use the Flatiron Flyer and local Routes 0, 9, 10, 15, 20, and 32.

Parking

RTD’s Park-n-Rides provide easy and convenient access to reach downtown events by public transit. A full list of Park-n-Rides across the metro area is available online.
