It’s officially the start of summer, and there are few places better to spend a summer than right here in Denver, Colorado. Grab some sunscreen, get a nice pair of sunglasses and get ready to get outdoors this month, as the metro area will be fully alive with festivals and concerts. There’s also Rockies baseball, but the author of Rad Thing (to) Do has run that horse dry. At least, Coors Field is a fun place to spend a day, right?

June’s Operator of the Month is Jorge Munoz from Platte! Munoz was selected for his extraordinary compassion and quick thinking during a situation involving a severely distressed female at a bus shelter who was trying to harm herself. Munoz calmly engaged the female in casual conversation, de-escalating the situation and invited her to sit on his bus, providing a safe and secure space until assistance could arrive.
